About Me
- Name: Pavan Gupta
India has always fascinated me for different reasons. The vastness of its culture, the diversity of people’s opinions and the limitations of its vision. Despite our diversity, we need to have a collective vision. India is not a country of four metropolis or a couple of high-tech cities. This nation of a billion people has 29 states and 6 union territories. We have 35 state and territorial capitals. How much do we know about each of these important cities?
Professionally I am a graphic designer from Bombay, India. In 1987, I co-authored a book on Corporate India, but my desire to throw a wider net and pick up much more information remains intact. I want my people from every city and every state to write and photograph details and information that would be interesting to the viewers around the world. We have so much to talk about and so much to share - this medium and this technology can help fulfill our collective dreams.

A well connected city by road and rail, the city shows a good balance of Industrial and agrarian economies. The city comes to our mind instantly when we say tirunelveli Halwa! yes indeed the sweet delicacy called Halwa made here is exceptionally good!
The Tirunelveli corporation consists of Tirunelveli Town, TirunelveliJunction,Pettai,Tatchanallur,Melapalayam and Palayamkottai within the city limits. Tirunelveli and Palayamkottai are Twin Towns with the Perenniall Tamirabarani river dividing the two towns.
Palayamkottai is called 'THE OXFORD OF SOUTH INDIA'. The number of quality schools and colleges in this town has earned this name for palayamkottai.School Educaion is given a great importance in this place. The famous central prison here had hosted many great leaders and freedom fighters from the time of british. The district itself has great many distnguished freedom fighters and patriots like Pulithevan,Veera Pandiya kattabomman,Subramaniya Baarathi,V.O Chidhambaram pillai,Subramaniya Siva, and Vaanchinaathan born in it.
Tirunelveli is an important tourist attraction as this district has a variety of places like 'THE SPA OF THE SOUTH'- COURTALLAM, to kallakad and Mundanthurai Tiger sanctuaries.
